Upcoming Spring Classes

Spring is around the corner and soon the forests will be blooming and buzzing with renewed life!

I am very excited to be offering some upcoming nature classes and hikes! I will be introducing the next generation of Nature Wanderers to the wonders of the natural world through caregiver-and-me classes with the Bedford, MA, Parks and Recreation department. Spring is the perfect time to get out and explore some of The Trustees’ properties, and I will be leading a hike there on March 21st. My adult art classes at Crafted Together in Concord, MA, will focus on learning to look at nature with a creative eye, noticing the subtle colors and shapes around us.

I am offering a fun preschool adventure through the Bedford, MA Parks and Recreation Department!

Together, we’ll explore the beautiful parks of Bedford, discover the wonders of the natural world, and learn about the plants, animals, and critters that call our forests home. Through hands-on exploration, stories, movement, and nature-based activities, children will build curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of the outdoors. Come join me for muddy boots, magnifying glasses, and magical discoveries!

There will be two sessions, each with three classes. We will explore Springs Brook, Fawn Lake, and the Town Forest.

Details will be sent to participants after registration.

Register on the town’s website - Bedford Parks and Recreation Session 1 10:30 Fridays - 4/13 - 4/17

Session 2 10:30 Fridays - 5/29 - 6/12

In the natural world, spring is a time of renewal, and The Trustees' Rocky Woods property in Medfield, MA, is a perfect place to soak up the spring sunshine and look for signs of spring.

On March 21st, I will be leading a hike around two of the beautiful beaver ponds at Rocky Woods, looking for signs of spring. This is a great chance to explore this wonderful property just outside of Boston.

We will be hiking for about 2 hours over uneven terrain with some moderate elevation gain, and it is recommended for ages 7+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

More details and registration information can be found on the Rocky Woods website.

I am thrilled to be part of the Crafted Together community of artisans! The store is located in the beautiful and historic Concord, MA, at 26 Main Street.

Celebrate Spring's arrival with my adult “Colors of Nature” painting class!

Join me for a fun evening of painting and learning to see color. We will explore photos of scenic landscapes and take a closer look at what the colors reveal. Notice how colors shift with light, distance, and even the angle of view. Understanding these subtle changes will help bring depth and atmosphere to your work. Once you’ve chosen a landscape for inspiration, we’ll dive into painting! This class is perfect for anyone who wants to explore landscape painting in a relaxed, creative way—whether you're new to painting or looking to grow your skills.

In April at Crafted Together, we will draw inspiration from the Impressionists to explore light and color.

Impressionism is about catching a moment—think dappled light and soft brushstrokes that give you a feeling instead of a photograph. During this adult class, we will explore the Impressionist style of art, learn what it means and how artists were influenced by it, and then create our own masterpieces.
